Cannot access Microsoft excel or word
I had to download Catalina, but now I cannot get into excel or word. They both have a circle with a slash over them
Those versions of Word and Excel are 32-bits and cannot run under Catalina or nerwer OS.
You will have to upgrade those apps.
Or consider replacing them with other apps like Pages and Numbers.
Also consider LibreOffice as a replacement.
