Using iCloud

If I delete a picture off my phone will it also be del on iCloud? How do I use iCloud? I never have space on my phone and am paying for iCloud storage but have idea what to do.

If you are syncing photos to iCloud, then yes, deleting it off your iPhone, will also delete it off iCloud.


You can verify if you are syncing Photos to iCloud by going to the Settings App->Photos->iCloud Photos.


If it's turned on, the all the Photos in the Photos in the Photos app are synced to iCloud. If it's not turned on, then nothing is being synced to iCloud.


iCloud is a syncing service not an off device storage option, you can if you turn on iCloud Photos, also turn on Optimize Photo Storage and it will reduce the space taken up by Photos on your iPhone by reducing the quality and file size of the Photos stored one your iPhone.
