DASHBOARD disappeared from applications folder: using Big Sur

MacBook (12 inch, early 2016)

Equipment & Software in Use:

• • MacBook (early 2016)
  • OS Big Sur (11.4)

Problem:

• • Dashboard software has disappeared from the applications folder (don't believe it was a problem prior to Big Sur upgrade)
  • Dashboard alias still appears in applications folder
  • Dashboard icon on dock appears but is grayed out and does nothing when clicked on

What I've tried:

• • Used Finder to search for "Dashboard" on the hard drive but found nothing
  • Tried "fix alias" but original app was not found
  • Didn't see what I think I need in App Store to re-install
