Thin vertical black line on iphone xr

There is a thin vertical black line on right side of iphone screen appearing and disappearing at random times. Is it a software issue or hardware one

A horizontal thin black line appears in iPhone XR. Hello! A horizontal, thin black line suddenly appeared on my iPhone XR screen after updating IOS 17, It started out small but then started to get longer and reach the other end of my screen. I already tried restarting my phone however, it's not working. What could be the issue? How can I fix this?
