Reset iPhone

I’m trading in my iPhone to a carrier. I did erase all content and settings but forgot to log out of iCloud. I got an email saying Find My was off. I removed the phone from my list of devices and also deleted the backup. Since the phone was completely deleted and erased, will the fact that I didn’t log off of iCloud first cause an issue? I also reset my password and logged off of all devices. I’m just very worried that skipping that step may cause an issue.

Hi xMissAnthrope,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

As long as you removed the device from Find My, Remove a device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - Apple Support, you should be good to go, since you've removed the Activation Lock.
