Rapid battery drain on iPhone 8 plus

Hi there,

I’ve been having issues with rapid battery draining on my iPhone 8 Plus with battery wear at 83%. When I’m on a video call using WhatsApp or Google Duo or FaceTime, my battery drains completely in 1.5-2 hours completely. It jumps from like 30% to 19% and then 11% and then 3% within seconds and it dies.

I’ve done soft resets and made sure there’s no background apps running. Background app refresh is at minimum. It just started happening after last iOS update to version 14.6.

Can someone help out here?

Bro, I am facing the same issue since last month. I even changed my battery from apple authorised store and still got the same issue.

My battery is even draining while its switch off and not in use.

Is your battery draining even when its switched off?
