new folders have all that

I have an iMAC, 27" using macOS Big Sur and when I right click and develop a new folder it has everything that is on my desktop even before I drag my file to it.

Click on your desktop so that Finder is showing on the Menu Bar and then click File > New Folder.

What happens when you go to the Menu Bar, select File, then select New Folder?

I do not have an option on the menu bar under file to select a new folder.
