I need help installing a printer

The Canon PIXMA MG2522 is not an AirPrint printer. You may want to have a look at the support page at

Select the operating system macOS Big Sur v11.0 in the menu (not macOS 11). Then you should see a CUPS printer driver and an ICA scanner driver. Would these work with your printer?

Before testing drivers, make sure that you have at least three backup copies of important files (photos, et cetera). There is always a certain risk that something goes wrong. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out. Data may be lost.
