Pages auto-quits

When I open Pages, it instantly shuts itself down and says it quit unexpectedly.

Some extra information:

This happens to other Apple applications as well (like Numbers) so it's not Pages-specific
I uninstalled and reinstalled already, didn't help
I scanned for malware, nothing was found
I rebooted my computer but the problem persists
I am working on a recently purchased M1 Mac so the computer is not old

I need these applications for my job and I'm going crazy over here. I hope someone can help me out!

Are you running Big Sur? If so, make sure you update to the latest version, currently macOS 11.4.

System Preferences > Software Update.
