Found watch

True story. I found an Apple Watch series 5 on the floor of a bar one night, 2 years ago. I asked around, no owner, so I kept it. My watch series 1 is on its last leg and I can’t connect the new one because of the last owners Apple ID.

Is there a way to reset it?

Activation Lock is designed to prevent anyone else from using your Apple Watch if it's ever lost or stolen.

About Activation Lock on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Activation Lock is an anti-theft feature that cannot be bypassed. Only the previous owner can remove the lock. Apple will not help you find the previous owner. If the previous owner cannot or will not remove the lock, then the watch is useless to you or anyone else.
