recovering deleted pages

Provided you have been saving the document changes all along, there is the File menu > Revert To > Browse All Versions…, that lets you step back to previous document revisions, use Quick Look to confirm the page that you want is present, and restore it. Alternatively, you could also do this with a Time Machine backup prior to whacking the page, by using /Applications/Time Machine.
