Stopped getting texts in Messages

Up until recently I was able to receive texts on my iPad that were reachable from my iPhone. About one or two weeks ago texts sent to my phone stopped coming through on my iPad. I tried to add the phone number and email addresses that are listed in my phone to my iPad. When I add the phone number it give me a message saying it is in use with another account. When I add the email address it says that the address is not available. Using iPadOS 14.5 when the problem started. I updated to 14.6 today and the problem still persists. How do I start getting texts on my iPad again?
