I have down loaded a setup file (Siemens Logo8) and when I run it I get
You do not have permission to open the application "Setup".
I have admin rights and I have tried creating a second pure admin account but still get the same box

Ctrl-click on it and choose Open, then Open again in the confirmation dialog.
Barney-15E sadly that still has the same outcome!
I have no idea if I found the right software, but it appears so old it is likely 32-bit and won't run on anything after Mavericks, but maybe High Sierra. Your Mac cannot run any of those.
Barney-15E thank you I have given up and have now dug out an old windows laptop and download a windows version
