Can my iPad get a virus or malware from accidentally clicking on a bad link in Pinterest? I received a message while I was in Pinterest that told me that I had viruses.on my system. I deleted the Pinterest app and shut everything down right away. I do not want to open anything back up myself before I know if hackers have finally figured out how to hack into mac ipads in 2021... the weird link that a picture took me to was in a different language. Should I take my iPad to have it looked over at an apple store? Or are ipads still safe from people hacking in?

Hi mdrehoff,

There is no such thing as malware for an iPad. Chances are, you see spam calendar events. If so, see: Delete spam calendars and events on iPhone - Apple Support. (The article applies to you, even though it says "iPhone")
