Apple Watch

I just sold my Apple Watch series 3 to a friend, I reset the watch itself but she can’t get it to pair to her phone because some activation thing it has on it. It says I need to remove it from my account but the phone I had it paired to no longer works & it has been thrown out. How do I get it to pair with her phone & taken off my account?

To unpair and erase watch and remove Activation Lock.

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.
