Tried update and watch unpaired with my phone. Can’t get it to pair back up.

How do I update my watch and pair it again with my phone?

Apple Watch pairing Im attempting to update my watch. At one point, it asked me to unpair it from my phone so I did that. Now, I can’t get it to pair back up. My watch says “please continue setup on eye phone” but When I go to the app, it asks me to align the face and of course it can’t because it just says the message above. Syncing watch to iOS 16 I just upgraded my phone to ios16. My Gen 2 watch will not sync. Is it time to upgrade my watch.
