everytime i open safari and search something on my macbook air it takes me to yahoo search instead of google. so how do it get rid of yahoo search and get it back to google?

Safari search engine I use MacBook Pro. I have been trying to change search engine of my Safari from Yahoo to Google, I tried safari preferences to change it to google which I did but it still shows yahoo even tho search engine shows google in safari settings. any idea how to fix that?

safari only searching on yahoo I am on my MacBook Pro m1 and when i search in safari it only searches on yahoo I don't know how to get on the settings of safari because I have been using chrome but now seeing the new safari I want to get back into using safari.

Check the default search engine. If it's correct, remove or disable any browser extensions you don't recognize, or click here and run the tool.
