Software update failed on Apple Watch 3

When I try updating I keep getting “software update failed, an error occurred downloading the latest version of watchOS on your Apple Watch” I have reset both my phone and the watch multiple times, unpaired the watch Checked wifi, tried for a few days and I keep coming back to the same problem.

Now I can’t get the watch to pair because it automatically wants to update but gets stuck on the same issue.
