Why won't my MacOS desktop download the latest update Big Sur 11.3.1?

Why won't my MacOS desktop download the latest update Big Sur 11.3.1? I've shut it down and restarted it and tried to restart it in "safe" mode by holding down the shift key while turning it back on and nothing is working.... It is hard wired into the internet connection as well... Every time it says "Update Failed"

Big Sur update won't download The latest Big Sur update for my MacBook Air won't download. This has been going on for a while. It keeps on saying that the internet connection has been interrupted. But my internet and wi-fi are fine and working.

macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 update gets stuck and won't update. How to solve? The update gets stuck somewhere before the verifying process and won't continue. Where can I find the update file, maybe delete it, and start all over again? I've cancelled the update and tried to update again, but nothing seems to be downloading. Have 2013 Mac Pro.

I had the same trouble. I tried everything and nothing worked. finally I went to apple online instead of using the update app. That worked. https://support.apple.com/macos and download big sur.
