I'm having trouble trying to upload Final Cut Studio HD Academic to my new Mac Mini M1 2020. After uploading start-up disk, it says I need to upgrade to Quicktime 7.6 and that my current system has Quicktime 0.0! In actuality I have Quicktime 10.5!! Please tell me there is away around this!!

See if this issue persists in safe mode to help isolate the issue:

I downloaded Rosetta as you recommended and then inserted the start-up disc for Final Cut Studio HD Academic. This is what is says:
After double clicking "Install Final Cut Studio" I got this:
Please tell me there is something else I can try... Thanks so much!
The short answer - It won’t work.
The longer answer - Final Cut Studio has not been supported since OS X 10.6.8. While not supported, various components of it ran on OS X versions up to 10.13. 10.14 and on require full 64 bit software and the FC Suite are all 32 bit programs.
