On my iPhone 8, contacts app somehow moved to app store

I have an iPhone 8. Somehow the Contacts app has moved to the Apps Store with all of my contacts. How can I move the Contacts app back to the Home Screen? Thanks.

You either deleted the Contacts app from the Home screen, or it got moved to some other location on the Home screen. Note that the Contacts app does not “contain” the contacts, it accesses one or more contacts databases that are “owned” by email accounts.

First, search for it: drag down from the center of the screen to open Search and search for “contacts”. If the app is still on the Home screen its icon will appear, and if it was moved to a folder the folder name will appear next to it.

If you still can’t find it go to the App Library, the last page of the Home screen, and drag it to another page.
