I have an Apple watch series 3... it’s almost 1 year old.. I have never been able to get the ring animation to work... when I close all 3 rings there is no animation no fireworks... I get a notification that a ring is closed that’s it.. my husband has a series 1 and that has the animation feature ... I’m tired of him all ‘look my series 1 works’ insert smug face here... please help

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

So that seems to only work for the red ‘move’ ring
I get the fireworks for the red ring only
not for the stand or exercise rings and yes all rings are closed

Will I lose any data already on watch??
Check these settings;
iPhone/Watch app/Activity/Goal Completions/turn on
iPhone/Watchapp/Activity>Daily Coaching/turn on
Watch app/notifications/ then tap on notification privacy to turn it off.
Unpair and re-pair and setup as new.
Just apple pay cards.
