Problems making slideshows with Photos

Mac OS Big Sur - 11.2.3

Can't change the slide duration - neither the clock nor Custom icons do anything.
The 'Delete Text' on slides works, but only till I view slideshow again, and the text always re-appears.
Is there a better Mac Slideshow maker ?

Big Sur Screen Saver not showing photo library nor source menu, it’s gone Photo library is showing for desktop as a selection, but in screensaver no matter what you select on the left is the type of screen saver on the right the source menu doesn’t even show, and unable to select photo library or anything else. I can only use the default Apple screensavers. Sometimes you open Photos app and some updating to library occurs and fixes the problem, but have already tried this, restarting the computer, and a parameter RAM reset ( command - option - P – R ). I pray someone knows how to fix this and bring back the source menu that has completely disappeared. Best, Seth

iMovie for Mac - Projects Thumbnails are Black Squares I have just started using iMovie 10.2.2 on my new MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur 11.1. I'm just learning how to use iMovie. I have created four projects and, while the creation of Projects appears to be straightforward, I do not understand why the thumbnails associated with each project in the Project View are simply black squares. I have read online that iMovie determines the thumbnail itself and that this cannot be changed manually. At this point, I would be happy with something other than a black square. See attached a screenshot.

Thank you for posting in Apple Communities. It sounds like you are having trouble creating a slideshow with your photos in Photos. We have some tips that could help.
