Files being automatically put in trash

Why are files I never deleted being put in my trash? Crazy!

There are two possible reasons:

If you run any cleaners, which you NEVER should, they might automatically go through your Mac and delete duplicates, etc.
It is also possible you accidentally dragged them in or hit "Move to Trash".

Monitor over the next few days, deleting any cleaners, i.e. CleanMyMac/Norton, and observe.
