I don't know what model beats earbuds I have, how do I find out if they are obsolete

I have a set of beats earbuds that are red (cable) and black (earbuds) with a 3.5 mm jack that is broken. It will not plug into a headphone jack. It looks like the jack needs to be replaced. I don't know the model number because they were bought for my son. I need to know if they are obsolete and whether I can get them repaired.
