Can I upgrade OS X for old mac mini

I have a late 2012 mac mini. Can I upgrade the software to the current version osx? If not, what is the latest software I can upgrade to?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on Catalina. That model isn't capable of Big Sur.

Thanks. Turns out that I can upgrade, but, it will mess with my photos b/c I'm still using iPhoto & Catalina doesn't support that! Just not ready to deal with re-organizing 40K + photo's. Appreciate your help.
