Is it possible to unsync the documents folder from icloud without unsyncing the desktop folder. I just want to have the desktop documents on icloud but not the documents in the documents folder

However, when I try to deselect the desktop documents folder from the iCloud drive, I get a message saying that they will be deleted from the Mac... iCloud storage Documents in Numbers and Pages have been stored in iCloud, although I did not ask for them to be. I want them on my hard drive only. If I go to iCloud in Systems Preferences and try to uncheck storage of Desktop and Documents folders, I get the message: If you continue, items will be removed from the Desktop and the Documents folder on this Mac and will remain available in iCloud Drive. How can I get my documents off the cloud and keep them on my hard drive only?

iCloud Drive What is the best way to undo iCloud Drive for Desktop and Documents? I want to see my desktop files on my desktop (not the desktop folder) and all my documents back in a document folder on iMac, like it was before. Changed my mind and don't want ALL those files on my iCloud account. Thank you.

They are a set and it's neither or both.
