can older apple tv devices be updated
I have an older apple tv device that I can not find any info on like what generation it is but wonder if I can still update it and ad apps to it.

A corresponding model number (A1218/A1378/A1427/A1469/A1625/A1842) can be found on the bottom of the device, and also in Settings﹥General﹥About﹥Model﹥.
The older models (3rd generation and earlier) have no App Store, and no apps can be added to it by the user.
