The selected source cannot be used for migration. - Big Sur(Intel) to Big Sur(M1)

I'm trying to use migration Assistant with my new MacBook Pro M1 with Big Sur 11.0.1 (the latest for M1 processor) from my old MacBook Pro 15-inch 2016 with Big Sur 11.2.2 (latest for this) and I'm getting a prompt that my new Mac has an older OS so I can't do the migration from my older MacBook Pro: "The selected source cannot be used for migration. This source contains a newer release of MacOS. Your Mac requires an upgrade before you can migrate from this source. Both of them are running the latest Big Sur.
