download all music

I want to download my music library (68gb) to the hard drive on my new MAC .. how do I highlight all songs ?

On Mac hold the Command key while you press "A" (or use Edit > Select All).

What part of 'Music' do I move to external hard drive? Getting totally confused with Apple Music and my personal music library. I want to be sure I can use Music app on my other devices and if necessary burn music or share music. If I put music on an external hard drive, do I need to actually move the music folders (by artist) or just the iTunes library please? I tried moving the complete Music folder which contains all music and Apple Music and iTunes and changed the preferences to show as much but the track details still show that the file is on my Mac HD? 😵‍💫

How do I point Music to an external hard drive? I have all my music loaded onto an external hard drive but can't seem to point music to it. Can someone explain to me how to do that? Google searched tell me to find the "itunes library.itl" and copy that to the external but I cannot find that file in Big Sur 11.1. Can anyone assist here?

Highlight one song, and then CMD-A will highlight all.

Control A works in windows but I’m on a Mac !
