Webpage Icons missing in Favorites - Safari

Hello,

When I click on a new tab in Safari, it shows me all the pages I have bookmarked. After clearing cookies and history, most of the webpage icons are missing and it is very difficult for me to distinguish my bookmarks. All I can see are letters like G for Google, A for Amazon, G for GitHub and this is very confusing. I can see all the webpage icons in the touch bar, but not in Safari.

I have tried all methods like deleting those fav files in the ~/Safari/library folder, but none of them work. Is anyone else facing this problem?.... Could someone please help me out?

That is the set behavior by default.

When you revisit the webpage icons will reappear.

"When you clear your history, Safari removes data it saves as a result of your browsing, including:

Icons for webpages"

To clear history for a website visited:

Click History in the Safari menubar and choose "Show ALL History"

Right click an entry in the list and choose "Delete".

Hello dominic23,

Thank you for your response. But, I have tried that method too. I revisited and viewed every single website that I had bookmarked and only a few icons reappeared as you see in the image attached in the original question.

I have bookmarked a number of tools that I routinely use in my work. But with missing webpage icons, all I can see are letters like A, B, F, G, etc. and it is difficult to distinguish between these bookmarks. Again, the icons can be seen in the touch bar. If anyone else has resolved this problem, please let me know....
