Cannot arrange icons in dock

Big Sur 11.2.2

Cannot rearrange the icons in the dock, when I force touch in the trackpad a message pops up: "No windows available".

I have tried with a mouse, same issue.

Problems with dock icons Since I upgraded to Big Sur last week I am having problems with my dock icons. Sometimes when I click on an icon a finder window pops up. Sometimes I have to click on the icon twice instead of once then it will open or take me to the open app. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, sometimes they work on the first click sometimes they don’t.

After Big Sur Update, I am having issues with the Dock popping up Into my applications After updating to Big Sur, I am having issues with the Dock popping up into the Microsoft Applications when they are in full screen mode. The Dock only pops up when I am trying to click on or select the buttons located in the lower left or right hand portion of the application (e.g., the zoom buttons or the outline button). The Dock appears almost instantly when I move the mouse down there to click on those buttons whereas before you used to have to move the mouse all the way to the bottom of the screen and leave it there for a few seconds to get the Dock to pop up. I have checked and I do not have "Automatically hide and show the Dock" selected/checked in the Dock & Menu Bar preferences. However, with testing this issue still occurs when "Automatically hide and show the Dock" is selected.

Dock regulary stops showing on Big Sur I have my dock set up to automatically hide and show on my Mac Pro (2019) running Big Sur 11.5 (see image below). However, after a short period of time, the dock stops appearing when I move the cursor to the bottom of the screen. It is fixed by a restart, but starts to recur again soon after. The issue first appeared when running on Big Sur 11.4 and persists now that I have updated to 11.5. Every 10–20 minutes, I have to run killall Dock in Terminal to get my dock back. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem or be able to suggest possible fixes?

After formating and going back to Big Sur 11.2.1, problem is solved. So it's a bug with 11.2.2.

No problems for meetups in 11.2.2.

You shouldn't be using the full press (force touch) to move things in the Dock.

Force Touch invokes Mission Control for the app you force clicked.

Yes, you just need to click and then move the icon.

Upgrading now to 11.2.2, to check if still works after update.

I also have drag lock enabled in Accessibility System Preferences. I think that makes dragging easier.
