Outlook for Mac M1 - unable to Reply, Reply All or Forward emails

Unable to Reply, Reply All, or Forward emails in Outlook for Mac M1 - the reply window initiates and then disappears within seconds. This is when I have the Reading Pane switched on. I have to either turn the reading pane off or, I have to double-click the email and then hit reply - it then reverts to the old-style Office reply mail window.

I can still send and receive emails, no problem - it's just now a very long-winded process and strange that the dialogue box simply disappears within seconds of clicking reply, reply all, or forward.

It seems to have happened after installing 11.2.2 and / or the latest MS Office software update.

I have this issue, too. It appears to be related to turning conversations off in Outlook's settings. When it can't find the conversation thread (because it is disabled), Outlook is unable to render the reply/reply-all/forward dialog in the reading pane. I have to double-click the message to pop out as a new window in order to reply.

Re-enabling conversations addresses the issue. That said, conversation grouping annoys me and I have it disabled for a reason.
