I have an old Mac with installed FCP on it, I have got a new Mac without FCP. I am trying to switch to using the new mac, but don't know how to move my FCP licence to the new one. Any insights on how to proceed?

There is no license. Your Apple ID is your access to the application. Log into the App Store with the Apple ID used to originally purchase it and download the application. Don't forget to install Pro Video Formats and download the additional content.
Don't think so. Not like legacy FCP that looked across the network to see if other machines were running it. I've had FCP in Big Sur and Mojave running of machines side by side. The license itself says any computers you own and control.
Thank you. In my search, got to an Apple info page saying that FCP can be used on one Mac, so wasn't sure how to proceed. Will move on with the download then. Thanks

That's not actually true. Of course the application has a license, that's what you're buying. There is no license key or code or anything like that.
It probably means only one Mac at a time.
