I just upgraded to the iPhone 12. My iCloud is full. I need to clear it out. Under iCloud>backups. Both my old phone and new phone are listed. The old phone has large amounts of space used and new phone doesn’t. Can I delete the old phone to crest space in iCloud without it deleting everything off of my new phone?

Yes. Deleting an iCloud Backup of an old phone will not delete anything from the new phone.

However, note that is true for Backups but not for other things on iCloud such as iCloud Photos, Contacts, etc that were synced to iCloud and are separate from iCloud Backup.
