Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have a question about displaying the contents of your iPad on your Mac. We’ll be happy to help.
Sidecar allows you to use your iPad as a second display for your Mac but not vice versa. This is expected behavior. Also, you can use AirPlay to stream or share content from your Apple devices to your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV but not your Mac.
