Apple TV+ Free Trial

I recently purchased a new iPhone 12 Pro Max and got an email telling me I had a 1-YEAR free trial to Apple TV+. However, when I click the link in the email to accept the offer, it takes me to a page that only offers me a 1-WEEK free trial. Nowhere is that 1-YEAR offer mentioned. What's up with that? Anybody have the same experience?
