I'm having trouble with people not being able to hear me when I am trying to talk to someone on the phone using my airpods

People cannot hear me when I'm using my airpods on the the phone.

I have disconnected them and reconnected them but it still isn't working.

Does anyone have any tips on some other things I can try.

Hello,

See this:

Open the Settings app and go to the Bluetooth section. Next to the AirPods entry on the list of devices, you should see an “i” icon inside of a circle. Tap this, then select microphone, and set it to either left, right or automatic. Try switching it back and forth.

Then, test with the Voice Memos app.
