Can't Add Epson 3880 to Big Sur

When I try to add my Epson 3880 inkjet printer to my newly-installed Big Sur, I get this error:

An error occurred while trying to add the selected device.

successful-ok-ignored-or-substituted-attributes

??? Any clues what's going on?

Thanks for any help.

Go to the Epson site and download a current printer driver.

I have the most recent already installed but I downloaded and reinstalled and it fixed the problem. Thanks!
