When I power on the MacBook Pro it makes the chime noise and noise of fans is heard but nothing else no keyboard lights and black screen what is the problem?

If it doesn't work, you'd better contact Apple Support or make Genius Bar reservation if your neighborhood retail Apple Store is open or find near you opened Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Pro.

After working for sometime I left it idle when I went for lunch. Back from lunch again the MacBook is black screen, can hear fan running but not coming back from sleep mode or whatever it is in now did try SMC again but no use.
Thank You the SMC worked perfectly.
