Screen Saver / Desktop Pictures in Big Sur

There was some recent automatic update to Big Sur the other day and now I can't access my photo library to select wallpaper or screensaver photos form my Photos Library?

Big sur update 11.4 After updating my Mac book air 2020 to big sur 11.4 I can no longer use my photo Library (on shuffle) as a screensaver. I have to move all my photos into a separate folder just so I can use them as a screensaver. This has never happened prior to this and is so inconvenient to me as it’s much easier to just click photo library. Has this happened to anyone else and if so how do I fix it? when I click on my photo library it just comes up with “no photos”

Mac screensaver always goes to start of photos library My screensaver uses my photos library but insists on starting at the first picture in the library every time. It also shows originals, so photos have not been rotated to correct orientation despite them being correct in the library. I am on Big Sur OS but with earlier OSs it would pick up from the last picture viewed so I got to see the entire library over time and it would show pictures rotated. How can I get the Big Sur version to do the same? My library is held on iCloud.

Setting a Desktop Picture I am attempting to set a desktop picture. I want to use a picture that is in my iPhoto library. I thought that the area I have delineated with the red rectangular border would give me access to all the photos that are in iPhoto but no - it is just a subset. I would say that about 30% of the photos are available in this window. What gives? How is it that I don't have access to all the photos in iPhoto in this window? Big Sur 11.7.4

What happens when try?

Here is a little something you can do: open Photos, and then Preferences and make sure that your library is selected as "System Photo Library". If the button is greyed out it means it is already selected.
