updating iMac to Mojave and keep getting message this update is damaged.

Trying to update Mac Os from High Sierra 10.13.6 to Mojave and have been unsuccessful. Have application to install Mojave 10 and it keeps saying: This copy of the Install macOS Mojave.app application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Delete "Install macOS Mojave" from the Applications folder. Re-try while in Safe Mode.
