Sim not supported

I bought this iPhone from USA about 2month ago and I came back to Egypt and when I insert SIM card the phone said that it’s not supported what can I do to unlock the phone carrier??? I bought it used

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

The only retailer from whom you can purchase an unlocked iPhone in the US is Apple. If you did not buy it directly from Apple, but purchased at another retailer (Target, Best Buy, Walmart, etc.) you purchased a phone that can only be activated on a US carrier and will lock to the first carrier used.


If you activated it in the US, it locked to the carrier you activated it on. Contact them and ask what their unlocking policy is.

If you did NOT activate it in the US, you MUST activate it on a US carrier, then request an unlock from that carrier.
