Do previous backups exist on the cloud?

I need to restore an iPad to a date prior to the last backup. Can I do that, if so, how?

iCloud maintains only a single backup of a device. After the initial device backup, subsequent backup cycles are incremental.

If you wish to maintain multiple backups for a single device, you’ll need to use a PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of macOS) and manually manage the backup library. In addition to iTunes, there are some third-party Applications for PC and Mac - such as iMazing.
