Which system version is running on your MacBook Air? Currently Apple is only offering the most recent version of GarageBand at the App Store for users, who have not previously purchased GarageBand. And the most recent version can only run on macOS 11 Big Sur. Can you upgrade your Mac to this system version? macOS Big Sur - Apple
