How do I get HP SCANjet G4010 scanner software to work with my OS X EL CAPTAIN 10.11.3?

Have you tried going to the HP Support website.

Make sure the operating selector is set to Mac OS X 10.11
Download the drivers and install them.
Open System Preferences> Printers & Scanners and add your scanner to the list.
Why are you posting in the Mac OS X Lion community and not the Mac OS X El Capitan community.
