I attempted to reset my mac desktop to its original factory settings, the installation is able to process but once completed, a drop down window appears saying: " could not create a reboot volume for APFS install"
is there a solution for this problem ?

Thank you for the suggestion. Will do. I have one more question...now it appears on my iMac that the mouse is trying to connect but won't, so i can't even access anything .... do you know how to bypass this issue ?
You may have to format the drive to MacOS Extended Journaled on older Macs & let the installer convert it to APFS;
Only for sure way is a cheap USB Mouse & KB. :(
