Emails have stopped sending using my iCloud account on my MacBook Pro

Hello,

My emails have started to stay in my outbox. After a few minutes Mail tells me that my outgoing mail server is not working. It keeps sending the odd mail but not all. Very strange! My iCloud emails are incoming absolutely fine, and they are sending and receiving fine on my iPhone. It is like a setting has changed somewhere but I cannot figure it out.

If anyone could help me it would be great. I did have a quick search on the community but couldn't find exactly the same problem.

Thankyou.

Hi there!

I'd recommend a restart and changing Wi-Fi networks, if you haven't done that already.

Also, can you explain what you mean by "odd mail?" If these have attachments, that could be the problem.

Any patterns could be a clue as to what's happening (recipient, etc.).

Hello. Thanks for your response. I will try the restart. I only have the one Wi-fi network at home so is difficult to change. So what I mean by the odd emails!! Is that since tis problem started 3/4 days ago, I keep noticing that some emails send. There does not seem to be a pattern with it. I now have 2 emails stuck in the outbox, neither with an attachment.
