Is "Apps not fitting in screen" normal in iphone 12 mini?

Just got it today. I noticed that when using it in apps like Instagram and Tiktok, the top part of the screen is kinda cut off, or has a weird placement of the top post bar. And if you look closely, on Tiktok, actually, the whole left part was covered a bit (it should show 12/29/2020, instead it only shows 2/29/2020. ) Does anyone else see this problem? (I tried turning on Zoom and then turning it off, doesn't change it.)
