When will ecg on Apple Watch be available in Australia? I was told by Apple store it was. I just bought a new Apple series 6 watch for this reason. So I’m annoyed to say the least that I’ve been lead astray.

When will ECG on Apple Watch be available in Australia? I was told by an Apple store customer service rep it already was. I just bought a new Apple series 6 watch for this reason. So I’m annoyed to say the least that I’ve been lead astray.

Will it be available shortly?

Apple Watch Series 6, watchOS 7

Nobody here knows when it will be available, only when we see it appear on this list:

watchOS Feature Availability - https://www.apple.com/watchos/feature-availability/#branded-ecg

If it's a make or break thing for you, you can return the Watch. You get 14 days.

I don't know about "lying". That implies a deliberate mis-truth. My experience with the (now former) local Apple Store was its employees knew a fair amount but when it came to details one had to be very specific in questioning. Asking if a Watch is capable of EKG might get a truthful answer it can, but the assistant may not know which of the 30 services is actually available.

This user isn't the first user down under to state that they were told by the Apple employee in an Aussie Apple retail store that ECG would work in Australia. The Aussie ECG honey pot is filled with users who say they were told the watch would have that function in Australia if they bought it.

If the employee told them that, they were lying and the store manager needs the feedback that is happening in their store.

I stand by my post.
